1. Information We Do Not Collect

We believe in data minimization and privacy by design. Our application is built to function without collecting any Personal Identifiable Information (PII). Specifically:

  • No Account Required: We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal details (such as name, email, or phone number) to use the application.
  • No Analytics or Tracking: We do not integrate third-party analytics trackers, crash reporters, or advertising SDKs that harvest your data.
  • No Device Data Collection: We do not access your contacts, camera, microphone, or precise GPS location.

2. Local Storage and Data Processing

To provide you with a seamless experience, EdgeSpeed uses the following mechanisms:

  • Local History: When you analyze a website, the URL, response time, and page size are saved locally on your device's internal storage (Local Storage) so you can view your recent tests. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the application's cache or data via your device settings.
  • Network Testing via Edge Nodes: To measure website performance accurately from global locations, the application securely transmits the target URL to our distributed backend network. We do not store, log, or associate these tested URLs with your IP address, device ID, or personal identity. The processing is strictly ephemeral and used solely to return the performance metrics to your screen.

3. Third-Party Infrastructure

Our application interacts with the public internet to analyze website speeds. We utilize secure, industry-standard edge computing infrastructure to route and process these speed tests. These infrastructure providers act purely as data processors for the specific URL requested and do not collect, retain, or profile our users' data.

4. Children's Privacy

Our application does not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Since our app does not collect user data, children's data is inherently protected.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
