1. Purpose of the Application

DropCore Share is a secure, blazing-fast productivity and utility tool designed for local file sharing and text transferring. The primary purpose of this application is to allow users to seamlessly transfer files (documents, media, photos, videos, and archives) and text snippets between devices in real-time without relying on external cloud storage.

2. Core Technology, Data Flow, and Network Rules

DropCore Share utilizes standard WebRTC and Peer-to-Peer (P2P) technology to transfer your data. This means your files and messages flow directly from the sender's device to the receiver's device over your local network.

Strict Local Network Protocol: For optimal speed and security, this application performs best when both devices are connected to the exact same Wi-Fi network or Mobile Hotspot. Your data bypasses the public internet entirely.

Zero Cloud Storage: We do not collect, store, intercept, or transmit your files or notes to any external servers. There is no "man-in-the-middle." Your data belongs entirely to you and remains strictly within your local environment and device storage.

3. Quick Notes & Local Storage Liability

Our application includes a "Quick Notes" feature for your convenience. Please read the following data retention rules carefully:

• Local Storage Only: All notes are saved strictly on your local device's internal storage (using standard localStorage). We do not synchronize, back up, or upload your notes to any cloud database.
• Permanent Deletion: If you clear your browser's cache/data (for Web users) or uninstall the application/clear app data (for Android APK users), all saved notes will be permanently deleted.
• No Liability: DropCore holds no liability for any data loss. Because the data never leaves your device, we do not have the capability to recover or restore lost, deleted, or corrupted notes. You are solely responsible for backing up important information outside of this app.

4. Permissions Requested and Storage Rules

Depending on whether you use the Web version or the Android APK, DropCore Share requests the following permissions to function. We strictly adhere to Google Play's transparency requirements regarding sensitive data:

• Photos, Media, and Files (Storage Access): Required strictly to read the files you choose to send. For Android (APK) users, this permission is also used to save the files you receive directly into your device's shared public storage folder, specifically at Downloads/DropCore. This ensures you have full, unhindered access to your received files outside of the application. This file data is never transmitted off your device to our servers.
• Camera (Optional): Requested strictly for scanning DropCore QR codes to instantly pair devices via the Android APK. This permission is completely optional; you can always choose to connect by manually typing the 6-digit room PIN instead. The camera is used solely on your local device to read the text embedded in the QR code. We do not capture, record, store, or transmit your photos, videos, or live camera feed to any external servers.

5. No Account or Sign-In Required

We believe in frictionless and secure usability. Whether you use the DropCore Share Web version or the Android APK, you are never required to sign in, create an account, or provide any credentials. Your privacy is 100% protected and anonymous from the exact moment you launch the service.

6. Data Collection, Analytics, and Third-Party Sharing

We believe in a completely transparent and secure experience. Therefore, we firmly declare:

• We do not collect any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, emails, or phone numbers.
• We do not log IP addresses, MAC addresses, or device identifiers on our servers.
• We do not collect crash logs, diagnostic data, or performance analytics.
• We do not integrate third-party trackers or advertisement SDKs that secretly harvest your device data.
• We do not share, sell, or rent any information to third parties.

7. Data Retention and Deletion Policy

Under global privacy guidelines (including Google Play's Data Safety requirements), applications must define their data deletion protocols. Because DropCore Share operates entirely via local P2P and does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers, there is no server-side user data to delete. To completely remove all locally saved app data (including Quick Notes and app settings), you simply need to uninstall the DropCore Share application from your device or clear your browser's site data.

8. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

DropCore Share is safe for general audiences. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because our application operates entirely locally and does not collect any user data whatsoever, parents can feel confident letting their children use the app.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app features or legal requirements. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the app after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
